August was a poor imaging month for me but from what I have seen on other sites I didn't miss much .Decent sky's today so an opportunity to catch some shots of recent AR 2585 .

August Solar
My weather has been hot and hazy up here in Ontario so my conditions have been far from ideal , We finally got some rain to help clean up the sky's around these parts . These were shot on the 8th of August ....posted a day late as usual , enjoy !

Solar Tuesday
Still lots going on up there in spite of this predicted quiet minimum . The prom was the big show for today and I was blessed with better than average conditions for the captures .

Sun Today
Another look at the filaments . I hope that I have clear sky's to catch the prom show as they round the limb . Very little in the way of proms today .

Filaments
Nothing has come around the limb to follow AR 2553 but there is a decent show if filaments right now.

Better Conditions Today
This will be a good example of how viewing conditions can effect solar imaging . This set of images are similar to what you see in my previous post , the difference today was the excellent seeing and above average transparency . Tomorrow's sky chart is also predicting these conditions .

More Activity
The sky looked good today so I set up my 150mm to see if I could get in close to AR 2553 . As it turned out conditions could have been better for the barlow'd shots .
Bill is in a heat wave right now so it is best that he stays out of the sun until things cool down a bit out in Idaho .

June 1st Sun
Conditions were less than average here in Ontario today having to shoot through a light haze of cloud was not friendly for any close up shots but I did manage to salvage one close surface shot . Fairly quiet sun but I do see a new AR making it;s way around the bend .
